Water based Wet Look Sealer & Joint Hardener

TAMTECHseal Wet Look WB Sealer is designed to provide a wet look / gloss seal for brick pavers, concrete pavers, concrete and other masonry applications. It will seal and protect the surfaces of masonry and concrete while enhancing the beauty. It can also harden and stabilize the sand in the paver joints if required to prevent rain wash-out and weeds from growing. The polymer is UV stable and forms a tremendous bond to the substrate. TAMTECHseal Wet Look WB also resists weather, water intrusion, efflorescence, freeze thaw damage and staining. The sealer is breathable, thus moisture is not trapped in the substrate. It is a product that can be used on new or existing applications.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Surface must be clean and dry. Remove all dust, dirt, paint, efflorescence, oil and loose debris. A leaf blower is recommended to remove the dust and debris. For paver applications, be sure sand is filled in joints to the required level slightly below the top of the pavers. Completely remove all remaining sand. Apply product uniformly with a pump-up sprayer, roller or use low pressure spray equipment, about 10 psi. Use a fan type spray nozzle and apply a coat to saturate the surface and avoid puddles. For a more uniform application, cross roll. Let dry. On vertical surfaces, start from the top and apply the sealer uniformly and work down. Brush out run-downs. If necessary on more porous or older surfaces, apply additional coats to achieve desired finish. Do not leave excess or pooled material on the surface. Product will dry to the touch in typically 45-60 minutes at 74 degrees F. Keep water and traffic off for 24 hours. Cooler temperatures will slow down cure time. Clean equipment with water before it cures.

Limitations:Do not leave excess or pooled material on the surface of the pavers. Do not use on polished or very smooth stone and on granite, slate and bluestone. Do not apply product to a damp surface. Always do a small test to ensure desired look and performance of the sealer. The minimum application temperature is 45 degrees F for 20 hours before and after the application. In hot, 90 degree F weather, working time is reduced so it is recommended that product be applied in cooler morning hours. Do not apply if rain is expected within 12 hours. In case of rain, wait until surface is completely dry before continuing.

Shelf Life: Two years in unopened containers.

Coverage:Concrete & clay pavers: 75-150 sq ft /gal Bricks: 100-200 sq ft /gal, Concrete: 150-200 sq ft/gal Coverage rate will depend on texture and porosity of the surface. Porous concrete pavers may need more than one coat to develop the gloss finish. 

Clean Up:Clean equipment with water before it cures.

Packaging: One gallon units (4/case, 3.8 liters), five gallon pails (18.9 liters) and 55 gallon drums (208 liters)

Cure Time:Product will dry to the touch in typically 45-60 minutes at 74 degrees F. Keep water and traffic off for 24 hours. Cooler temperatures will slow down cure time and hot weather will speed up the cure.

Warning: Skin or eye contact may cause irritation. If eye contact occurs, flush will water for 15 minutes. For skin contact, wash with soap and water.Use safety glasses and wear gloves with protective clothing. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not swallow or inhale.
